Honesty is the Best Policy

If you’ve been involved in a personal injury or medical malpractice and find yourself needing an attorney, the most important thing to do is be completely honest with your attorney. Your attorney is there to help you win your case. It’s important to start off telling the whole story to your attorney at your initial meeting, without leaving out any details. The smallest detail that’s omitted can make or break your case.

It’s easier for your attorney to help you if there are no surprises during your case. Surprises in the legal field can completely change your case. You can be assured the defendant’s attorney will do a thorough investigation into your history and size you up as a witness. Dishonesty can lose your case.

Omitting the details is also included in being dishonest. Always tell your attorney the full truth! Leaving out details is grounds for mistrust. A small detail you choose to leave out of your story could cost your case and lose all the damages you need to prevent loss from medical bills, income, future income, etc.

Always tell your attorney the truth so they can best represent you!
