Indiana Construction Accident Kills 33 Year Old

April 16, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. 33 year old David Anderson of Brownsburg, IN was the victim of an indiana construction accident. David Anderson was killed when an excavator backed into him while placing concrete barriers for an Interstate 465 construction zone on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

A witness to the accident stated that there were two construction workers assisting the operator of a 2010 Caterpillar Excavator as it was backing up to place the barrier walls. The operator of the excavator lost site of David Anderson who was on his right side. It was at this point that the operator of the excavator pinned Anderson between the excavator and the concrete barriers.

The Indiana State Police will reconstruct this accident in an attempt to discover how and why this accident happened.

The construction company working the site was Walsh Construction based out of Crown Point, Indiana.
