Hospital Removes Wrong Testicle, Angry Patient Sues After Surgeons Unable to Reattach

Salisbury District Hospital is being sued by a 48 year old male patient after they removed the wrong testicle and failed at a reattachment attempt. This “never event” occurred in June of 2012. Similar incidences of wrong testicle surgeries happening in West Suffolk, England and West LA VA Medical Center, California, USA have occurred in recent years. In addition to stress and aggravation from these events, the patient may also have to worry about how to pay for something that never should have happened. Many insurance companies and programs are refusing to cover botched surgeries and never events.
