Daren Niemi grew up in Northeastern Ohio. He graduated from Hiram College with a double major of Environmental Studies and Theatre. At Hiram, he was a member of the Phi-Gamma Epsilon fraternity. Between undergraduate and law school, Daren worked in Alaska as a fly fishing guide for several years.

Daren went to law school at Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He was an active member of the school’s trial team. In his first year on trial team, he and his teammate were a point shy of going to nationals. Daren graduated law school in spring of 2015 and passed the Ohio Bar Exam that July. Since 2015, Daren has practiced solely Plaintiff’s civil litigation, with medical malpractice cases, other complicated personal injury matters, and trial practice being his focus. Daren has taken many of his client’s claims all the way to trial and secured favorable verdicts for his clients in many cases. Daren is now admitted to both the Indiana and Ohio Bar.

When not actively engaging in the practice of law, Daren enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and daughter, Piper. They frequently spend time camping at their cabin in Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania, where they camp, hike, and enjoy the resident flora and fauna. Daren continues to fly fish and maintains a limited guiding business as time allows. He has also written articles for numerous fly fishing magazines, published a book on fly fishing for steelhead, and continues to write on the subject when his time allows.
